Brand: Zinc-It Maritime Spares
1. Commercial Terms
Payment shall always be made in advance, prior to shipment of goods, unless otherwise
expressly agreed between the parties. Delivery deadlines are defined on a case-by-case basis,
with a tolerance of up to 1 (one) week for early or late delivery. Only written orders confirmed
in writing by the company will be accepted, whether for catalogue products or those with
technical specifications.
2. Application and Liability
Sociedade Metalúrgica António Fonseca & Flora, Lda, in its own name and under its brand ZincIt Maritime Spares, accepts no liability for failures resulƟng from the improper applicaƟon or use
of the supplied sacrificial anodes. The correct installation and use of the products is the sole
responsibility of the customer.
3. Storage and Shelf Life
Anodes must be stored in a dry location, protected from moisture and environmental exposure.
Application must occur within a maximum of 1 (one) year from the manufacturing date. Afer
installation, anodes have an estimated functional lifespan of up to 2 (two) years, depending on
the environment, usage, and cathodic protection design of the structure.
4. Manufacturing Process
All anodes are produced by gravity casting, according to strict technical standards. We
manufacture zinc and aluminium anodes in compliance with MIL-A-18001, DTL-24779, and ALSI-IN-ZN standards. Gravity casting entails dimensional tolerances due to the natural contracƟon
of the material.
5. Quality and Claims
Claims will be accepted based on cut tests revealing voids greater than 5% of the inspected area
for anodes above 50kg. Chemical analyses outside the agreed specifications constitute valid
grounds for rejection. Visual appearance (discoloration, marks, or surface irregularities) is not a
valid reason for claim unless it affects product functionality. All anodes are analysed by
spectrometry, and cerƟficates can be provided free of charge via email aƩending client’s request.
Electrochemical testing is subject to case-by-case pricing.
6. Replacement of Non-Conforming Material
In the event of an accepted claim, the company undertakes to collect the non-conforming
anodes and replace them with equivalent parts at no additional cost to the customer
